CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A brick facade broke loose at the Gujarati Samaj of East Tennessee – Hindu Temple Monday morning.

The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 9:04am and responded to 7717 Canyon Drive with six fire companies, according to CFD spokesman Bruce Garner.

Battalion Chief Rick Boatwright said no one was injured by the falling bricks, but a gas meter was hit and damaged, resulting in a gas leak.

Firefighters confirmed the gas leak, and contacted technicians with the Chattanooga Gas Company to shut off the leak in minutes.

No injuries were reported.

The city’s building inspection department will be investigating the cause of the wall collapse.
