Two restaurants tied with lowest scores this week

Posted: Updated:
HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

The great news continues for a lot of restaurants and school cafeterias being inspected this week in Hamilton County.

All of the scores again are very impressive, especially the school scores. Parents, you should feel very happy to know there's a lot of hard work and dedication with your kid's cafeteria staff. Stop in and say thank you.

There is not a failing grade on this Friday, but there is a tie for a low score and that's an 86. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than 70.

We start out with Wimpies Country Restaurant on Dayton Pike. There, inspectors found raw meat stored above fresh produce and ground beef was not being stored at the proper temperature, both critical violations

The other restaurant with an 86 is the Bluewater Grille in downtown Chattanooga. The inspector found a dented can and a chemical bottle in the kitchen that was not labeled. Those are also considered critical violations.

If you have a complaint about a pool, restaurant, health care facility, or day care, even the place where you workout call the Hamilton County Health Department Hot Line at 423-209-8110.

Someone will personally handle your complaint weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your meal!
