Woman found dead in van that hit deck of Knoxville home

KNOXVILLE, TN (Knox News) -

An autopsy will determine how a woman died who was found in the rear of a van that ran off a road, through a field and into the deck of a West Knox County home.

Emergency workers smashed in the window of the van, which had slammed into the deck of the home at 2141 Muddy Creek Lane in the early morning darkness Tuesday, and found a partially clad woman dead in the vehicle.

The woman’s head, said homeowner Gary Kihn, was “wedged behind the passenger seat” in such a way that Kihn was unable to see her when he initially approached the van.
