3 arrested in suspected "chop shop" in Walker Co.

FLINTSTONE, WALKER COUNTY -

Agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force investigated two addresses in Flintstone, Georgia. 

The investigation led to two search warrants being served, one for each address. 

The warrants were for methamphetamine, marijuana, and suspected prescription narcotics. 

Officials said during this investigation several motorcycles and a 2015 Audi A3 were found on the property. 

The vehicles had been reported stolen previously and evidence from the scene suspected it was a "chop shop" operation. 

Agents also recovered multiple items from one of the addresses that include: firearms, assault weapons, handguns, sporting firearms, a large amount of ammunition in various calibers, a large amount of gunpowder, and a suspected makeshift detonation device. 

Three people were arrested at 2083 Burnt Mill Road, David B. Gant, 46, faces four charges including possession of methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Tabitha N. Gant, 30, faces four charges including possession of methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, and Bryan E. Gant, faces one charge of possession of methamphetamine. 

Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force and Walker County Sheriff's Office are still investigating this case and additional arrest and charges are pending.
