Start digging through your attic and garage. The Humane Educational Society is looking to become more self- sufficient and you can help.

The organization celebrated the grand opening of its Second Chance Thrift Store this week.
All the net profits will go directly to the Humane Society.
The store opening is something employees hope will generate more money into the shelter.

Taylor Hixson, "Do the things above and beyond beside just offering food and shelter. It will help us treat animals with medical conditions, help us with training the hard to adopt pets, training helps to find homes. It will help us go above and beyond for animals in our community."

Donations of clothing, housewares, furniture and books are appreciated. The store is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
It is located on Ringgold Road.
