Detective receives wrong number text offering drugs
A Bradley County Sheriff's detective arrested a man Tuesday morning after the officer received a wrong text message from the man trying to sell drugs.
The detective was working in his office at the Judicial Center when a text message he received reading, "R 30s and Opana 40s today."
Bradley County Sheriff's office said the detective responded asking for a location to meet and a vehicle description they would be driving. The location provided was just off 25th Street.
Christopher A. Brewer, 27, was at the location in a vehicle matching the description of the one given in the text message.
Bradley County detectives learned the text message was intended for an unidentified female.
Brewer was taken into custody and charged with solicitation for the sale and delivery of Schedule II narcotics.
