UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Friday night shooting on Germantown Rd.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in the October 10 shooting.

The victim, identified as Paul Holloway, was shot while riding as a passenger in a car on Germantown Road.

The suspect has been identified as Jimmy Jenkins, 22.

Chattanooga Police still ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525.


PREVIOUS STORY: A 25-year-old man tells Chattanooga detectives he has no idea who shot him while he was riding in a car Friday night.

Police got involved when the man showed up a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The hospitals automatically call police when that happens. That call happened around 9:20 p.m., according to a news release emailed to Channel 3 Eyewitness News.

Officers believe the shooting happened around 500 South Germantown Road. The victims said he was in the passenger seat when someone in a black four-door sedan opened fire.

The victim is expected to survive.
