CHATTANOOGA, Tn  ( -- Rain washed out a number of events across the Southeast on Saturday, but fortunately for the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic, the indoor courts at Manker Patten gave the women a chance to get in one more match.  Play was halted at the finals, which meant each individual was able to get in one last singles match.

UTC won five of their seven matches, including three main draw victories.  Senior Kayla Jones had one of the best wins of the day, defeating Mississippi’s Tea Jandric (6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (6) in the #1 draw.

Junior Rachele Gazzola and freshman Sydney Patton also advanced in the main draw at #4 and #5, respectively.

A pro set was played in each of the consolation matches.  Senior Kelsey Coots and freshman Delaney Edwards had wins in the back draw.

Next up for the Mocs is the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in West Lafayette, Ind., on Oct. 16-19.
