Baylor rushes past McCallie 38-14

CHATTANOOGA, TN  (WRCB) -- Baylor's offensive front won the line of scrimmage as three McCallie turnovers doomed the Blue Tornado Friday night as the Red Raiders romped over their longtime cross-town rival 38-14.

Baylor's offensive backfield duo of Ryan Parker and quarterback Wil Austin leading the charge.

Baylor breaks the ice on the legs of Wil Austin, 8 yards out and it's 7 nothing Red Raiders.
McCallie's vaunted offense, stymied by two first half turnovers.
Red Raiders Ryan Parker with the second of his 2 first half touchdowns has Baylor up 21 nothing.
McCallie's offense driving to Baylor's five yard line and the Red Raider defense stiffens and gets another turnover in the process.
Victor Ulmo's 42 yard field goal at the end of the half has Baylor up 24-0 going into he break.
The question, how would The Blue Tornado respond?
With another turnover, this time it's Robert riddle picked off by Brendon Harris.
It would be Ryan Parker again shortly after, his third TD of the night has Baylor up 31 nothing.

38-14 Baylor, powered much on the running of Wil Austin.
" Yeah, Wil had a great game," confirms Baylor Head Coach Phil Massey afterward. " And he reason he had a great game was the line blocking for him, he'll tell you that. But I'm just so proud for our seniors."
"  My line did a great job up front," affirmed Austin. " We knew going in it was going to be like this."

Baylor is now 6-1 and enjoys a bye week as they prep for Pope John Paul II on the road October 16th.

McCallie falls to 2-4 and plays host to Ensworth next week.
