Empowering Girls, Removing Mirrors

(WLWT)  A Taylor Mill, Kentucky teacher has become the talk of her school and social media.

She's the woman behind the girls spreading a very powerful message at Woodland Middle School.

"Usually you would go in the bathroom and look in the mirror. Now there's no need," eighth-grader Korie Johnson says. "Before I was in this club I didn't really think I was very pretty or very smart or anything."

That is why at Woodland Middle School they don't have mirrors in the girls bathroom. Instead they have signs all over the place.

"They're all uplifting and powerful quotes to say how beautiful you are and you don't need a mirror to see how beautiful you are because you're beautiful inside and out," student Reagan Hamilton explains.
