Citizen input sought on 3rd and 4th street corridors

Posted: Updated:

Do you have ideas on how Chattanooga can improve the 3rd and 4th street areas?

The city of Chattanooga is inviting the public to participate in the transformation and improvement planning of the 3rd and 4th Street corridor, and the connection to Riverfront Parkway.

The City of Chattanooga wants to upgrade the area to make it more safe, improve traffic flow, increase accessibility, and reconnects the downtown area to the riverfront.

Anchors in the community include University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the Chattanooga School for the Art & Sciences, Siskin and Erlanger.

One goal of the project is to boost economic activity in the corridor, and will also explore adding direct connections to the Riverwalk and alleviating stormwater issues.
