One Mexican eatery comes close to failing, but 3 perfect scores this week

Posted: Updated:

The great news continues for a lot of restaurants and school cafeterias being inspected this week in Hamilton County.

All of the scores again, are very impressive, with some perfect scores to talk about this week. There is not a failing grade on this Friday, but there is a 72 which is getting close to that failing mark. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than 70.
For this low score we head up to Signal Mountain, and if you enjoy Mexican cuisine this place has had problems before.

Ayala Mexican restaurant needs some help in the kitchen, as inspectors found food like raw eggs being stored in the wrong place, the dishwasher wasn't working properly, food was uncovered in the cooler and employees were multi-tasking without changing their plastic gloves. In other words, handling raw food and then doing other tasks in the kitchen.
Now to the high score of the week, and there’s several to mention because they tie at 100.

Way to go: Cook-Out restaurant, a new place on Brainerd Road; Lupis again with a high score in East Brainerd with a 100 and no surprise here, with Five Guys Burgers and Fries, as they too serve up a 100 at their downtown location.
If you have complaint about a pool, restaurant, health care facility, or day care, even the place where you work out, call the Hamilton County Health Department Hot Line at 423-209-8110.

Someone will personally handle your complaint weekdays between 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your meal!
