Good Tuesday. It has been a warm summer. Temps overall have been just a bit above average in the Tennessee Valley. The last day of the season will be a good exclamation point to that fact. The average high is 81. We will get up to 83 with mostly sunny skies. With that said, low pressure to our east will keep clouds in the forecast east of Chattanooga with a stray shower or two in the Blue Ridge this afternoon.
Fall officially begins tomorrow morning at 4:21 eastern. The first day of the season will bring us a few clouds and a high of 84. Temps will drift downward heading into the first weekend of fall. Highs Saturday and Sunday will top out at 80 degrees. Now it looks as though the weekend will be mostly rain free. We only have a slight chance for a shower Sunday. Otherwise, it should be a pretty nice one.
