Comfortable and warm today and tonight for the Tribute on the River

Posted: Updated:

Good Wednesday.  This is the time of year our average high temperatures start to dive.  The average high for today is 83.  By the end of the weekend the average high will be 80.  Our forecast temperatures will actually be going the other way as warmer weather continues to ooze into the Tennessee Valley.

Today will be about where it should be with a high of 84 and sunny skies.  We will be very comfortable this evening with temps in the 70s.  Overnight we will drop back down to about 57 in the city.

Thursday will be about the same though maybe a degree or two warmer.  I am calling for 85 degrees and plenty of sunshine.  Friday sees the sunny skies continuing as the high climbs to about 87.

The weekend will see the warming trend continuing with highs in the upper 80s.  Look for about 88 both Saturday and Sunday.  It will remain sunny Saturday, but we can expect some clouds to build in Sunday as a dying front moves through.  That will also bring us a chance for a few showers and some cooler air as we start next week.

Good Thursday.  We have another bitterly cold start today with temps in the low to mid 10s this morning.  Fortunately, our winds are fairly calm this morning so wind chill won't be as much of an issue heading out.

The roads will be very slick including interstates and main city roads Tuesday night because of these cold temperatures. So travel should be discouraged.
