A University of Tennessee alumnus will compete again Monday night on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior.
Grant McCartney will compete in the show’s final round, which was taped earlier this year in Las Vegas.
His father Ron McCartney played football for UT and in the NFL.
Ron McCartney said Grant's mother even tried to have him early, so she could play in a state tennis tournament the next week.

Ron McCartney said Grant fell in love with Hawaii during college, and moved there four years ago. Grant McCartney works as a flight attendant for Hawaiian Airlines.
Ron McCartney said he thinks Grant will compete in the show's "all-star" edition, which will film later this year.
The competition will air at 8:00 Monday night on Channel 3.
