UPDATE: Pedestrian struck at the same location of early Sunday shooting

UPDATE: Simultaneously late Saturday night, dispatch advised Chattanooga Police of a pedestrian struck at the same location of a shooting on East 23rd Street, the victim was dragged some ways down the road.

Police said once on scene an extensive search was conducted in the area, but they could not locate the victim nor a suspect.

During the search police located an abandoned vehicle in the 1500 block of S. Hawthorne.

A preliminary investigation determined this was the vehicle involved in the pedestrian struck incident. 

According to police about two hours later they were contacted by a local hospital and advised that the victim of the collision, George A. Watkins, 27, was on scene. 

Due to Watkins injuries he was transported to another local hospital for additional treatment.

Watkins is in stable, but serious condition. 

According to police there is no driver information being released at this time.  

The Chattanooga Police Department is requesting the assistance of any individuals who attended the party at 2000 E. 23rd Street last night. If you attended this party or have information concerning either incident please call 698-2525. 

PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police are investigating an early morning shooting that injured one person.

Police responded to the hospital around 2:15 Sunday morning to find 30-year-old Ontario Price suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

The victim told police is was at a party on East 23rd Street when he heard gunfire.

He's expected to be okay.

No suspect information is available at this time.
