A middle school girl is safe after firefighters were called to help pull her from a hole on Raccoon Mountain.

The girl, a 7th grader, was on a school field trip to Raccoon Mountain when her leg became stuck in a hole in Raccoon Caverns. Firefighters were called to help her remove her leg from the hole.

Bruce Garner, spokesperson for the Chattanooga Fire Department, says the girl was stuck for a little less than an hour. Firefighters from Station 20 were able to free the girl, who was uninjured and walking around without any problem after the incident.
