Good Thursday. I heard a pastor once say, "Hold on! Sunday's comin'!" That applies here with our weather.
For today, look for mostly cloudy skies and an occasional shower or non severe thunderstorm. There is still a lot of humidity in the air, and the high will reach 85 degrees. Skies remain overcast tonight with a shower or two still possible into the late night.
Friday will see a mix of sun and clouds with a trough of low pressure approaching from the west late in the day. It looks like it will fizzle out just before it gets to us. We will have some clouds from this system, but the chance of showers will only be about 20%. Friday's high will be 84.
The weekend looks great. I can't completely rule out a morning shower Saturday with the low being in the mid 60s, but the chance is small and skies will be clearing as cooler and drier air settles in. It will be mostly sunny with a high of only 75 Saturday.
Sunday the cool, dry air will be firmly in place. We will start the day with lows in the mid 50s. The high will reach 75 degrees. We should have plenty of sunshine and low humidity to make this the pick day of the forecast.
Next week we will warm back to the upper 70s and low 80s, but sunshine and fairly low humidity will make it comfortable September weather all week long.
