Good Friday. We wrap up the week with a little higher heat and humidity as the high gets to 88 this afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy, but the chance for rain is less than 20%. Tonight will be great for the ball games. Temps around the region will be in the upper 70s and low 80s through the evening. The game of the week, by the way, is Ringgold at Heritage.
For the weekend, Saturday we will climb to 86 with a few scattered showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. The rain chance is 30% Sunday will be mostly cloudy and the rain chance will increase to 40% as we see the high staying in the low 80s.
Next week will be seasonably warm and a little humid. Each day will sport highs in the upper 80s. lows in the upper 60s, and only a slight chance for an afternoon shower or two each day.
Continue keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Erika. With some of the latest model data taking it on a track a little further west, it may be a big rainmaker for us by the end of next week. Stay tuned.
