TV station vigil

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds gathered outside a Virginia television station one day after two of its employees were shot and killed during a live broadcast.

The Roanoke community showed an outpouring of support for WDBJ Thursday night.

A candlelight vigil was held Thursday night to remember 24-year-old reporter Alison Parker and 27-year-old photographer Adam Ward.

Parker was interviewing Vicki Gardner on live television when a former station employee, Vester Flanagan, also known as Bryce Williams opened fire.

Gardner is recovering at an area hospital.
