Tennessee teen enjoys Make A Wish trip to Chattanooga TVA office

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Noah Caldwell of Covington, Tennessee is not your average 14-year old. He has a great interest in advanced science and math. As a reward, he once asked his parents for an advanced physics textbook.

One of his interests is how TVA generates and transmits energy and how he might be able to make a contribution to improve the reliability of the nation's electric system. The Make-A-Wish organization in West Tennessee has made that possible.

Along with his parents, Noah made the 300-mile trip to Chattanooga to visit several TVA facilities including Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, TVA's System Operations Center and Chickamauga Dam. He also met with TVA engineers to discuss how he could play a role in ensuring the Valley's power stays reliable for years to come.

While in Chattanooga, he and his family also visited area attractions, including the Tennessee Aquarium.

Noah hopes to study to become an electrical engineer, and after his visit to Chattanooga, said he would love to relocate to the Scenic City.
