Good Thursday. Today will be mostly sunny and dry with highs running around 85 degrees. Pollen counts continue to rise. Grass pollen and ragweed are extremely heavy right now. Tonight will be mild and pleasant with partly cloudy skies and a low of 66.
Friday will be a bit warmer with a high of 88 and partly cloudy skies.
Heading into the weekend, humidity will begin to build back in. The high Saturday will reach 85. Sunday will only manage to get to 81. We will have more clouds over the weekend, and even a 30% chance for a few spotty showers or storms.
Next week the rain chance will diminish to 20% at best as highs climb back to about 86. For the most part we are just looking at partly cloudy skies Monday and Tuesday.
We are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Erika. It will make a turn to the north this weekend, and by Tuesday night / Wednesday morning looks as though it may make landfall in South Carolina as either a strong tropical storm or a weak hurricane. In either event, we may see a few showers or storms spinning off the western side of Erika on Wednesday. We'll keep an eye on that one. The exact path of the storm will weigh heavily on how much (if any) rain we get.
