Cooling down and drying out through the weekend
Good Monday. This is the forecast we've been waiting for. A nice significant cool down is settling in this week. Today will be warm and partly cloudy with a high of 88. That's average for this time of the year. The big deal will be lowering humidity through the day. That will help the air feel comfortable through the afternoon.
Tonight not only will the humidity be low, but the temperature will be dropping quite a bit. We will go from the low 70s this morning to about 60 Tuesday morning! It will stay cool and dry all day with a high of only 84 under sunny skies in the afternoon.
That's the way it will be all week. We will start each day with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Skies will stay mostly sunny through the week.
We are doing okay with our rainfall. for August we have seen 7.09". The average this far into August is only 2.66". For the year, we are sporting a surplus of 6.24", and compared to this far into 2014, we have seen about 17" more fall on the ground so far this year.
