KNOXVILLE, TN (WRCB) -- With less than two weeks to Tennessee's season opener against Bowling Green in Nashville, Vols Head Coach Butch Jones likes what he sees from a former quarterback recruit welcoming a change of position.
Tennessee freshman Juaun Jennings, who tumbled to fourth on Tennessee's quarterback depth chart, has excelled at with the move to wide receiver.
Jones says the Murfreesboro product is now pushing upper classmen.
" The biggest thing (to) transition to quarterback (from) wide receiver is the volume of running," said Jones of Jennings' move. "You're basically lacing your shoes up and you're going nonstop, and really being in football condition, and i've never, not once, heard him complain about it. He's welcomed it. " You can see his technique getting better. We all know he has a great vertical. He has a very good adjustment to the ball in the air. He has very good initial quickness, and he's been a great addition to that room."
