Good Sunday. We have one more somewhat soggy day, then we will return to a more typical summer time pattern next week as warm air moves back in.
Today will be cloudy with on and off showers and storms throughout the day. The only threat is from potential heavy rain and isolated areas of flooding. Occasional lightning is also a possibility. The high today will reach 81. We can expect sporadic showers through the evening, then they will taper off as we head into tonight.
This will mark the end of the wet and somewhat cool weather pattern. We move into next week with a high of 89 Monday under partly cloudy skies and only a slight chance for one or two afternoon showers or storms.
The average high for this time of year is 90 degrees. We will stay very close to that all next week. Tuesday through Friday highs will range from 90 to 92 with only a slight chance for an afternoon storm.
The weekend will be the same with a high of 91 Saturday and Sunday. For the latest, and the interactive radar, download the WRCB weather app. David Karnes
