Storms going through the Tennessee Valley are leaving people without power.

Between 200-500 EPB customers are without power in Red Bank, Harrison/Hwy 58 area, Ooltewah, Hixson and Soddy Daisy. EPB crews are working as quickly as possible.  An EPB official reports the smart grid is automatically restoring service as well. 

In Sequatchie County "quite a large" number of customers are without power, according to the Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative in South Pittsburg.  Sequatchie County dispatch confirms trees down along Hwy 27 and on back roads trees and wires down.  Sequachee Valley Electric Co-op crews report high winds and lightning. Poles and equipment have been damaged. Crews are working to restore power as they are able due to the storm.
