EPB warning customers about pop-up surveys from unknown source

Posted: Updated:

EPB is warning customers about pop-up message they may see after a recent survey was made to appear that it came from EPB.

EPB spokesman John Pless says that the internet service provider is not distributing this pop-up survey, which claims to offer exclusive rewards worth at least $70.

They admit EPB has no information about who is behind this pop-up survey and urge customers to use caution when they encounter on-line communications from unfamiliar sources.

As a service to their customers, EPB offers several free tools (for both PC's and Macs) from Kaspersky Internet Security to eliminate or reduce the number of pop-up messages. Other pop-up blocking options are available online.

Subscribers can call EPB Customer Service at 423-648-1372 with questions about unsolicited messages or for assistance with installing those tools.
