"Community Day of Caring" event to hold drug take back

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

If you have any unwanted or expired medications around the house you have an opportunity Saturday to properly dispose of them.

At Westside Missionary Baptist Church located on Hughes Avenue, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Drug Take Back Program personnel will be on hand to assist with the disposal of prescription medicines. 

Saturday, June 20, between 11:00am and 2:00pm, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Tennessee American Water Company and the Hamilton County Coalition, will participate in Westside Missionary Baptist Church's “Community Day of Caring.”

Residents may bring unused, unnecessary, or expired prescriptions to be correctly and safely disposed of by law enforcement personnel.

Other events during this time include free health screenings, food, games and door prizes.
