Attempted murder charge dropped against Chattanooga gang member

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The suspect in a December 2014 shooting has his charges dismissed. 

Darrius Harris "Deedy Weedy", a member of the 52 Hoover Crips, was facing charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a shooting on West 38th Street in 2014. 

In court Tuesday, the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office dropped the charges against Harris citing the lack of a credible witness.  Harris is due back in court on July 1st on theft and aggravated robbery charges.
