Two Ohio teenagers who are suspected of a crime spree spanning three states and more than five days were caught Saturday morning in West Virginia, authorities said.

Triston Kindle, 16, and Rose May, 15, were apprehended by West Virginia State Police after they crashed a stolen vehicle while trying to evade police, and then attempted to flee on foot, according to The Associated Press.

The pair were reported missing to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office in northern Ohio on Monday, reported NBC affiliate WNWO. Kindle and May are accused of stealing a car and shotgun shells in Ohio and two other vehicles in Pennsylvania, according to the station.

A police officer was injured during the search on Thursday while pursuing the teens after they were suspected in the armed robbery of a gas station in Elizabeth, in western Pennsylvania. The chase led to the police officer being dragged and injured by a vehicle after the robbery, according to the Elizabeth Township Police Department.

Multiple law enforcement agencies in Ohio and Pennsylvania were involved in the search for the teens, but they weren't found until Saturday morning, Elizabeth police said.

The AP reported that May and Kindle's parents are traveling to West Virginia to meet with investigators.
