LaFayette Police wanting to find a good charity for hundreds of bicycles

Posted: Updated:

The LaFayette Police Department has an "all or nothing" offer for a local non-profit group.

Chief Benji Clift says the department has collected hundreds of bicycles in various condition over the past three years. And he wants to give the two bays worth of bicycles to a deserving charity which would refurbish the bikes and put them to good use.

Chief Benji Clift, "They got to take 'em all, the bad with the good, clean up what they can clean up, give them away whatever they want to do with them, just for the space, because there's literally hundreds."

Clift hopes anyone who has had their bicycle stolen recently will give them a call. Their number is 706- 639-1540.
