(WRCB) - Good Saturday. We can expect a warm, muggy day with a high of 87. Skies will have a nice mix of sun and clouds. While I would never completely rule out an isolated storm or two when it is this warm and muggy, the atmosphere is fairly stable and I don't expect much.
An approaching front will bring us a few overnight showers heading into Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon the front will stall over Chattanooga and areas east. That will bring some heavy widespread rain to those areas. It looks like we could get about an inch of rain in the Tennessee Valley up into the Blue Ridge. On the Cumberland Plateau, however, I would expect only a light trace Sunday afternoon.
Next week will be warm and a little muggy each day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s with a few scattered showers on and off through the week. For the latest, download the WRCB weather app. David Karnes
