The United States Navy F/A-18 Hornet Tactical Demonstration Team will be the headliner at the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show and BBQ Classic October 3-4 in Rome, GA.

The airshow, at Russell Regional Airport will also feature the Charlie Daniels Band as a special guest and have other aerial and entertainment acts as part of the event.

The F/A-18 Hornet will perform along with the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, SNJ2 “Pilot Makers” flown by the GEICO Skytypers, the U.S. Marine Corps' MV-22 Osprey, the WWII-era F4-U Corsair “Korean War Hero” and the P-51D Mustang “Quick Silver.”

The Smoke and Thunder Barbeque Classic, a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned BBQ competition will feature a cash purse and prizes over $25,000. The competition is also sanctioned as an official Georgia BBQ Championship contest.

There will also be a Backyard division competition for amateur BBQ cooks.
