CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB)--- Final arrangements are pending for longtime Baylor golf coach Henry "King" Oehmig, who passed away over the weekend. Oehmig was 63 years old.
Oehmig was Baylor's Head Golf Coach for a dozen years.
He was also an Episcopal minister, author, and Founder/Editor-in-Chief of Synthesis Publications.
His golf resume is replete with state championships for both the Baylor girls and boys golf squads.
A three time letterman for Baylor who graduated in 1969, Oehmig reportedly suffered a heart attack while fishing Chickamauga Lake Saturday.
Oehmig is survived by his wife, Margy, a former Baylor school trustee, and two sons, Henry and John, both being Baylor graduates.
