Kansas City, Mo. (– The Dalton State Athletic Department is proud to have our fifth NAIA All-American for the first year of intercollegiate eligibility for Roadrunner teams.

Sean Elliott has been named as one of ten First-Team All-Americans in Men's Golf.

Women's golfer Julia McQuiken and men's golfer Ladaris Green had previously been named first-team All-American while Caroline Griffin for golf and Sean Tate for basketball are Second-Team All-American.

In addition, Elliott, McQuilken and basketball star Jordan Bowling each earned MVP in their respective national tournaments.

The Roadrunner basketball team captured both the regular season Southern States Athletic Conference crown and the NAIA National Championship. Dalton State women's cross country claimed the SSAC Championship last fall. Roadrunner women's and men's golf are the most recent conference champs.

Other First-Team All-American men's golfers are Allen Bradford, Hunter Cornelius and Alastair Bradford from National Champion Coastal Georgia; Peter French of Johnson & Wales; Dylan Healey of Cal State San Marcos; David Houlding and Billy McKenzie of William Woods (Mo.) and Oklahoma City's Anthony Marchesani and Jamie Warman.

“It's been an amazing year for Dalton State athletics” said Athletic Director Derek Waugh. “Three national champions, five All-Americans, four national final rankings in the top 15, countless community service hours, countless hours promoting the Roadrunner brand and raising friends funds in the community, charismatic coaches, an energetic support staff, and countless amazing student-athletes and fans.”
