Four arrested in drug search in Murphy, NC

MURPHY, NC (WRCB) -

A drug search Wednesday in Murphy, North Carolina nets drugs and four arrest.  


Around 9:00 p.m. officers with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Clay County Sheriff's Office, Murphy Police Department and Cherokee Tribal Police, in a joint operation, searched a residence on Tennessee Street in Murphy.  During the search a quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine were found. 


Four individuals were arrested during the search of the Tennessee Street residence:


21 year old Brittany Carter, was booked and released on a $5000.00 bond on the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

26 year old Teua Johnson, was booked at the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $11,000.00 bond on the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Appear on a Misdemeanor. 

18 year old Orion Gibbs, was booked and released on a $5000.00 bond for the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 


36 year old Sean Lecoq was booked and is currently confined in the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $5000.00 secure bond on the the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 


All four individuals are due back in court June 3, 2015.
