UPDATE: CPD investigating second West 38th Street shooting

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - UPDATE: Chattanooga Police responded to West 38th Street on reports of a shooting at 12:52 Wednesday afternoon.

 While officers were on the scene, a 17-year-old black male was found suffering from two gunshot wounds.

The teen was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No suspect information is available at this time.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525.  

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are responding to reports of a person being shot. This marks the second shooting on the same street within 24 hours, and the third in the neighborhood in the same time frame.
