UPDATE: Police ID victim in W 38th Street shooting

UPDATE: Chattanooga police have identified the victim as 28-year-old  Ladarius L. Johnson.

Police say Johnson was standing in front of the Southside Market, when he heard multiple gunshot.

Johnson then ran inside and discovered he had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital for examination and treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police confirm a man was shot twice just after midnight around 200 W. 38th Street. The call came in around 12:02 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police found the victim suffering from two non-life threatening injuries.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing.
