Signal Mtn man arrested for terroristic plot

Posted: Updated:
A Signal Mountain man who ran for Congress has pleaded guilty to plotting to kill an undetermined number of people in New York.
Robert Doggart admitted to planning an attack on a school, a mosque and a cafeteria outside Hancock, New York.
FBI investigators say Doggart said the buildings needed to burn and the people living in the area known as "Islamberg" needed to be killed.
He was arrested last month.
Doggart apparently wanted to execute the mass killings on April 15th. He's quoted as saying "those guys (have) to be killed." Doggart tried to recruit "gunners" for the operation. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
Doggart ran for Congress last year in the 4th district.  He lost last November to incumbent Scott DesJarlais.
