Public Health conducting door-to-door surveys Friday and Saturday

Posted: Updated:
The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department will be conducting door-to-door surveys on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th. The survey offers public health officials a chance to practice a survey methodology known as Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER). Public Health teams may be in your neighborhood and might knock on your door.

This project is a joint effort between Hamilton County Emergency Services and the Health Department to collect information regarding residents' needs during an emergency evacuation. Emergency preparedness educational materials will also be distributed.

Households surveyed are randomly selected. The survey will be asking about personal preparedness, residents' plans in the event of an evacuation, and whether residents would need special help during that evacuation.
