Chattanooga Valley Elementary School fifth graders are wrapping up the school year with a Smithsonian-style exhibit.  Teacher Kari Swafford said, "We covered all of these famous historical figures during our school year. The Smithsonian allows the students to dig deeper and research these historical figures to become experts about their lives. Students selected a person, and with each person came a different exhibit they had to construct, create, record, or display."

The Smithsonian Exhibit highlighted much of the Social Studies curriculum that fifth graders learned throughout the school year.  Swafford said, "They have been working extremely hard on these end of the year projects, and this has been a very positive learning experience happening at Chattanooga Valley Elementary School."
