Fall Creek Falls Lookout Tower nominated for National Register of Historic Places

BLEDSOE COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

Wednesday the State Review Board will meet to vote on seven nominations from across the state to add to the National Register of Historic Places.

Nominations that are found to meet the criteria will be sent for final approval to the National Register of Historic Places in the Department of the Interior. 


The nominations include:
  • Davidson County – RCA Victor Studios Building
  • White County – Ravenscroft 
  • Bledsoe County – Fall Creek Falls Fire Lookout Tower
  • Grainger County – Old Grainger County Jail and Rutledge Presbyterian Church
  • Knox County – Gay Street Commercial Historic District and Murphy Springs Farm
The National Register program was authorized under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
