Good Cinco de Mayo. Light southerly winds will continue to give us a steady diet of warm air that will allow temps to get near 90 this weekend.
Today will be great. Mostly sunny skies will rule with a high of 83. There is a slight chance for a shower or storm well east of town up in the Blue Ridge, but I am only putting the chance at 20%. Tonight will be partly cloudy with the low dropping to 59.
Wednesday will get even warmer with a high of 84. 86 will be the high Thursday, and we will continue upward to 88 Friday. Overall, the weather pattern looks dry. We have a 20% chance for showers Friday and Saturday. Saturday's high will reach 89. A cold front will begin to form to our west Sunday, and we could see a few showers and storms Mother's Day ahead of that front. Monday the front will move through and bring us a 50% chance of scattered showers and storms.
