A Polk County trio was arrested Sunday for criminal trespass and theft over $500.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office was called when a citizen saw a theft in progress on Dunn Road in the Old Fort area of Polk County.

They then blocked the entrance to the property and contacted the Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they found suspects Robert K. Blackenship, Jessica Hickman and Mathew T. Wagner in a green GMC Jimmy with a trailer attached that contained items loaded from the property, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The deputies investigation revealed that the suspects did not have permission to be on the property nor take any items from the property.

All three suspects were arrested on charges of criminal trespass and theft over $500.

Wagner had two outstanding warrants from Bradley County for Probation Violation out of Sessions and Criminal Court.

Deputies also seized suspected narcotics and sent them to Tennessee Bureau of Investigation lab for testing.
