Torbett and Webb Win 9th Annual Sportsman Warehouse Dream Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The team of Oscar Torbett and Jerry Webb took top honors to top the field of 75 boats to win the 9th Annual Sportsman Warehouse Dream Bass Tournament.  Oscar and Jerry caught a 5 bass limit weighing 28.79 pounds for their 1st place finish.  This tournament was held Saturday May 2nd out of Chester Frost Boat Ramp.

This makes the 3rd straight win for the duo this year. Jerry said “We are basically fishing the same patterns we were 3 weeks ago. There are some great fishermen on this lake and we were fortunate to get another win”.

The team of Oscar Torbett and Jerry Webb also won the big fish of the tournament with a huge 9.71 largemouth bass worth $500.00.

Saturday's tournament was a mix of lifelong fishermen, first timers and even sportscasters like Paul Shahen.

This tournament is one of the larger and longest running in the Chattanooga area.  Over the last 9 years, benefits from this tournament have raised over $50,000.00 which has been donated to the Silverdale Academy Athletic Department.
