(WBIR-Monroe County) - A Monroe County School board member said a senior prank at Sequoyah High School went too far, costing students instructional time and forcing teachers to clean up the mess.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said in statement on Facebook it is investigating multiple reports of vandalism at the school.

"I am deeply saddened that something like this has happened," Sheriff Tommy Jones wrote in the post.

Viewer submitted pictures show students wrote on the walls with shaving cream, scattered hay throughout the building, broke podiums, urinated on the floors, and laid dead animals in the hallways.
