Lumber Liquidators faces DOJ investigation, CFO leaving

(NBC News) - The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking criminal charges against floor manufacturer Lumber Liquidators.

The charges stem from an investigation into some of their imported products that come from China.

According to the report, Lumber Liquidators laminate from China contains high levels of formaldehyde.

The company says it follows all regulations.

On Wednesday, Lumber Liquidators acknowledged the suit and announced it in their quarterly report to investors.

Lumber Liquidators says it is aware of more than 100 pending class action lawsuits because of the Chinese-made laminate floors.

The news hit the company's stock hard before the market opened Wednesday.
