Good Wednesday. We will have a rainy start to the day. Scattered showers will move through this morning. Very little (if any) storms will develop, and wet roadways will be the biggest threat. This afternoon, skies will remain overcast, and showers will continue to pop up on and off through the early evening hours. Amounts from Chattanooga north will remain light. We will get a light trace to about .25". In north Georgia and the Blue Ridge Mountains, we will see higher amounts ranging from .5" to .75". We will have an afternoon high in the upper 60s.
Skies clear somewhat tonight with lows dropping into the low 50s. Thursday, most of us will have partly cloudy skies as the high gets to about 72. Low pressure lifting up to our east could bring a few isolated showers to areas east of Chattanooga.
Friday, look for lots of sunshine and cool weather. We end the week with highs in the upper 60s.
The weekend looks good. We take out any chance of rain and much warmer weather will slide in. Saturday we will get up to 76, and Sunday will shoot up to 80, three degrees above average.
The first half of next week remains dry with highs in the low to mid 80s.
