HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - A chase Monday night lands two people in jail.

Around 9:30 p.m. a Hamilton County Sheriff's deputy saw a vehicle, at a car wash, matching the description of the one driven by Stewart Brodie Luttrell, 28. Luttrell had outstanding felony warrants from Hamilton County and Signal Mountain. The deputy identified the driver as Luttrell. With Luttrell, was a female, Amanda Alexandria Keener, 21.  The deputy pulled in front of Luttrell's vehicle blocking the car from leaving.  At that point Keener got into the car and Luttrell put the Hyundai into reverse and left going towards Sequatchie County on Taft Highway with the deputy following.

Upon entering Sequatchie County, Luttrell took a corner too closely near the Mount Carmel Baptist Church parking lot and spun out of control, wrecking his vehicle,  Luttrell got out of the car and took off on foot.  The deputy gave chase and caught Luttrell, who resisted arrest.

Keener did not flee the scene and was compliant with commands. She was also taken into custody.

The vehicle was unregistered and Luttrell did not have insurance.

Both Luttrell and Keener asked for an ambulance and were taken to the hospital, where they were checked out and released. Keener and Luttrell were taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

Luttrell is charged with theft of property along with his outstanding felony warrants.  Keener is charged with possession of drug paraphanalia.
