New study suggests exercise may help breast cancer patients better tolerate chemo

Posted: Updated:
A new study suggests exercise may help breast cancer patients better tolerate chemotherapy treatments.
Researchers studied women who followed either a moderate exercise program or a low intensity program and compared them to a control group not required to exercise.
Both exercise groups had less fatigue, nausea and pain during their chemotherapy treatments.
But the women in the more intensive exercise program tolerated chemo the best and were two-thirds less likely to require a dose adjustment.
